West Texas Scrub

West Texas Scrub, 11x14, Gouache

I’m continuing to experiment with some things, and I’m finding that when I just paint for the love of painting, what you see here seems to be the way my brain wants me to paint.  This painting and Flat Rocks at Round Rock could be harbingers of what’s to come.  This one may still get a bit more work, but for now, I’m going to let it sit for awhile.

Ralph, I really enjoy your gouache paintings and pencil sketches. I enjoy painting in gouache as well. I learned a few things checking out your work and demos. That prairie schooner looks awesome! Hope you cruise through middle Tennessee.

      C. Ousley, thanks so much for the kind words. If someone can learn from what I’m doing, then I’m happy. Maybe we’ll get through your part of the country someday.
