Azalea Trails Show this weekend in Tyler, Texas

March 18, 2010

We return this weekend to Tyler, Texas for the annual Azalea Trails.  Bergfeld Park is fronted by older homes on tree lined streets with an abundance of azaleas gardens.  We didn’t do so well at this show last year, but it was only our second show since returning to the circuit after nearly twenty years.  We met a lot of nice people who liked the work, and we’re hoping to see more of the same this year.

The weather doesn’t look great for us.  It’s a Saturday and Sunday show. We’ll head over on Friday to give ourselves plenty of time to set up.  That should be a beautiful day, with sunshine and temps around 70 degrees.  But the forecast calls for thunderstorms late Friday night and Saturday morning.  At least we’ll be set up and buttoned down before that happens.  Then, when the skies clear, the temperature is supposed to be down in the 50’s for Saturday and Sunday.  Another cold show, it appears.  But we go with great optimism and look forward to meeting the nice people of Tyler again.

The strip on the left has nothing to do with the Tyler show.  It’s just a sneak peek at something I’m working on.  It’s bold of me to even mention it, because it’s something entirely new for me, and I don’t know if I can pull it off, but I’m having good fun with it.

And after all… isn’t that the whole point?
